Culture and Recreation are key ingredients to an enjoyable quality of life in all communities. The Tri-Cities, with a desirable quality of life, is a popular destination and is tourism-centered. Out-of-town visitors create economic strength in our community through visitor spending. Typically, the benefits of culture and recreation are not easily measured, though many aspects of visitor spending and tourism can be tracked. This section attempts to capture the most important offerings in the two counties by local surveys and some administrative data.
